How late can I drink coffee and still sleep well?

It varies from person to person, but caffeine can stay in your system for many hours, so many people sleep better with a cut-off in the early afternoon. The free caffeine cutoff calculator works out a time from your own bedtime.

How much caffeine is too much?

Food-safety authorities set a daily limit and a single-dose limit for healthy adults, and the Caffeine Leverage plans stay inside both. Signs you've had too much include jitters, a racing heart, an upset stomach and poor sleep. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, have a heart condition or take medication, ask a doctor first.

How do I cut down on caffeine without headaches?

Go gradually: one drink fewer every few days, swap some cups for decaf or tea, drink water and keep your sleep regular. Stopping suddenly is what most often brings on headaches and tiredness.
